Michael Egnal is a Partner and the Chair of Shmuel Law Group’s Real Estate Practice Group. Michael brings to the Firm more than 15 years of experience in transactional business law with a specific expertise in real estate matters including: property acquisitions; financing; leasing and ground leasing; condominium formation and management; zoning; and real estate development and syndication. Michael works extensively with multifamily and retail property developers.

Michael serves as a trusted advisor to his clients throughout the entire life cycle of their projects–from negotiating letters of intent and reviewing due diligence materials, to coordinating and documenting the closing, and continuing representation post-closing. Michael’s experience allows him to anticipate his clients’ needs while navigating any challenges that may arise during a transaction in order to advance client interests and objectives.

Prior to joining Shmuel Law Group, Michael served as a partner and General Counsel to several real estate private equity partnerships performing ground-up construction and multifamily investment. Prior to that, Michael worked at a large, national law firm. Michael holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, and is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
